摘要: Provided is a sealing device that increases the lubricity of seal surfaces, prevents leakage of sealed fluids, and prevents excessive heat generation and excessive friction at seal surfaces. Said sealing device, which is of the type that seals a fluid trying to leak from the outer periphery of a sealing surface towards the inner periphery thereof, forms at least two dimples in a circumferential direction in each of a plurality of rows arranged in a radial direction on a sealing surface of a stationary-side sealing element or a rotating-side sealing element. Each dimple is tilted by a dimple angle ? between 0 DEG and 90 DEG , exclusive, such that the tip of that dimple in the direction of rotation is tilted toward the inner periphery side. In each of the plurality of rows of dimples, land areas are formed in the circumferential direction between the proximate tips of adjacent dimples. For each of the plurality of rows of dimples, if a circle is drawn through the centers of the dimples in that row, let L1 be the distance along the circle from the point the circle enters a dimple to the point the circle leaves that dimple, and let L2 be the length, along the circle, of the land areas between dimples. The dimples are characterized by being arranged such that the gap ratio L1/L2 is between 0.001 and 0.1, inclusive.

摘要: Provided is a mechanical seal, in which a pressing mechanism configured such that two bellows expand and contract in accordance with fluid pressure inside an annular sealed space that is formed by the two bellows is included, that enables downsizing in a radial direction. A mechanical seal (100) is configured such that an annular sealed space (S1) is formed by a first bellows (141), a second bellows (151), and members respectively provided on both end sides of the first bellows (141) and the second bellows (151), and that the first bellows (141) and the second bellows (151) expand and contract in a central axial direction of a rotating shaft (200) in accordance with fluid pressure inside the sealed space (S1). The first bellows (141) and the second bellows (151) are arranged at positions distant to each other in the central axial direction, and are arranged such that a part of the first bellows (141) on a radially inward side and a part of the second bellows (151) on a radially outward side overlap when viewed in the central axial direction.
