    摘要: A film door restraint and camera (10) used with a film door having a tappet movable between latched and unlatched positions, a film cartridge having a filmstrip and an active light lock (36) movable between open and closed states, and a cartridge spool driver movable in first and second directions of rotation to rotate a spool of said cartridge. The film door restraint has a toggle, a rotational member, and a follower. The toggle (72) is coupled to the active light lock and is capable of tripping between an open position, in which the active light lock is open, and a closed position, in which the active light lock is closed. The toggle is tripped by the tappet when the toggle is in the open position and the tappet is moved from the latched position to the unlatched position. The rotational member is joined to the spool driver for rotation with the spool driver. The rotational member defines primary and secondary guideways. The follower has first and second ends and is disposed to travel along the guideways during the rotation of the rotational member. The second end traps the toggle (72) in the open position when the first end is disposed in the primary guideway. The second end frees the toggle to trip when the first end is disposed in the secondary guideway.

    摘要: An ejector mechanism (8) is provided for use in any system which uses photographic film, such as cameras, film development equipment and any other systems designed for film cartridges. One embodiment of the ejector mechanism includes an ejector slide (10), an ejector slide spring (12), a trigger lever (20), a trigger lever spring (22), a cover plate and a loading chamber. The ejector slide includes a spring hook (14), a first guide pin (15), a second guide pin (16), a trigger lever tab (17), a trigger lever notch (18) and a film cartridge pin (19). The trigger lever (20) includes a trigger lever spring attachment (80), a trigger lever slot (82), a pawl (84), a trigger lever head (86) and a trigger control tab (87). The cover plate includes a ejector spring attachment (29), a trigger spring hook (31), a first guide slot (30) and a trigger control ramp (44). The first guide slot (30) engages the first guide pin (15) attached to the ejector slide to support first guide pin (15) movement along the first guide slot (30). The first guide slot (30) further includes a latch tab and a latch slot (72). The loading chamber, which receives a film cartridge endwise, i.e. axially, includes a second guide slot (62), a trigger lever guide pin (64) and a film cartridge access slot (66). The second guide slot (62) engages the second guide pin (16) attached to the ejector slide to support second guide pin movement along the second guide slot. The ejector slide spring (12) is positioned on the ejector spring attachment and the spring hook (14). The trigger lever spring (22) is positioned on the trigger spring hook (14) and the trigger lever spring attachment (80). The ejector slide and the trigger lever are positioned between the loading chamber and the cover plate.

    摘要: A camera is provided with alternative mounting structures, one for an extensible flash (14) and another for a fixed flash (16). One of the mounting structures is used for securing and aligning a selected alternative extensible or fixed flash device. The other is covered by a camera casing (20). The casing (20) defines first (82) and second (84) apertures aligned with the first and second mounting structures, respectively. The first aperture (82) provides access through the casing (20) for mounting the extensible flash assembly on the first mounting structure and the second aperture (84) permits passage through the casing of illumination from the fixed flash (16) assembly.
    A method of assembling a photographic camera also is provided including the steps of assembling alternative extensible and fixed flash assemblies; forming a core (12) including alternative flash mounting structures corresponding to and adapted to receive the respective flash assemblies; coupling a selected one of the flash assemblies to the corresponding mounting structure; and covering the core with a camera casing.
