The hood is characterized in that it comprises damping means (6) operably associated with said tray (5) for damping the motion of said tray (5) when the latter is moved from said work position to said rest position and/or vice versa, said damping means (6) operating along a damping axis (X-X') parallel to said predetermined direction of movement (X-X) of said tray (5).
