The invention concerns a method for processing a compacted product, comprising the following steps: - Humidifying the compacted product, then - Drying the humidified compacted product, the humidifying and drying steps being carried out by applying a permanent and continuous air flow towards the compacted product having been previously placed in a processing chamber, the air flow being controlled during processing so as to humidify the compacted product and then to dry the compacted product, the air flow moreover being controlled to place and hold the compacted product in levitation in the processing chamber during the entire processing. The invention also relates to a device designed for implementing this processing method.

The present invention relates to soup compacts and also to the method for producing said compacts. The soup compacts according to the invention comprise from 70 to 100% by weight of a soup powder and from 0 to 30% by weight of pelletizing additives and are in the form of a solid unit of homogeneous composition which has a skin between 10 μm and 1 mm thick. Optionally, the compacts have at least one surface piece.
