摘要： This invention is directed to a system for monitoring the efficiency of a catalyst employed to convert exhaust gases containing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides, e.g., those generated by an internal combustion engine such as in an automobile. The system ccomprises a thin-film resistive device (10) and an electrical circuit (22) connected to said thin-film resistive device (10) capable of determining a change in the electrical resistance of a electrically conductive material provided in the device, the electrical resistance being subject to change during conversion of said exhaust gases over the catalyst.

摘要： Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé permettant d'appliquer sur un substrat à rainures une couche de lavage poreuse utilisée comme structure de support pour un catalyseur. Le substrat est recouvert d'un mélange réactif obtenu à partir de constituants composés d'alcoxyde d'aluminium, d'eau et d'acide, ou de cet alcoxyde dans un alcool. L'alcoxyde d'aluminum contient des groupes alcoxy hydrolysables et présente la formule chimique: Al(OR)3 où R représente un alkyle ou un groupe alkyle ramifié contenant entre 3 et 6 atomes de carbone. Le procédé consiste également à faire sécher et à calciner le revêtement pour produire une couche de lavage de gamma-alumine.

摘要： This invention is directed to a method of providing a channeled substrate with a porous washcoat used as a supporting structure for a catalyst. The substrate is coated with a reactive mixture made of components comprising aluminum alkoxide, water, and acid or the alkoxide in an alcohol. The aluminum alkoxide contains hydrolyzable alkoxy groups and has the chemical formula: Al(OR)3, wheere R is an alkyl or branched alkyl group of 3 to 6 carbon atoms. The method also includes drying and calcining the coating to form a η-alumina washcoat.
