摘要： A cutting assembly has first and second cutting blades arranged to cut in intersecting planes. The assembly is for use in a slicing machine, with one blade oriented longitudinally relative to a delivery path for an item to be sliced, and the other transversely to cut laterally. Two or more longitudinally oriented blades can be used. An item cut in accordance with the invention is formed into slices each in two or more pieces.
