In the space, a gap communicating with the portion between the insulating frame (10) and the photoelectric conversion portion (5) is formed between the second electrode (9) and the seal portion (11). This configuration enables the whole of the solar cell to be filled sufficiently with an electrolytic solution in a short time, and improvement of the photovoltaic performance of the solar cell (1).
