摘要： A plug assembly (102) is adapted for use in a push-down-to-close valve having an inlet, an outlet, and a process flow path in between. The plug assembly comprises a guide sleeve extending into the process flow path, and a plug body (108) moveable within the guide sleeve to selectively block the outlet. The plug assembly further comprises first/second ends (104, 106) and a cylindrical section (126) receivable in the guide sleeve. The first end comprises a plugging section (112) tapering outward from the first end toward the second end, and the second end has a plurality of fins (114) extending radially outward from the plug body. Each fin comprises a tapered section (116) and a guiding surface (118). The cylindrical section has a circumference that forms a tight clearance fit within the guide sleeve to restrict flow through the guide sleeve.
