The present invention relates to a paraffin-in-water dispersion comprising - water, - a long-chain hydrocarbon or a mixture of a plurality of long-chain hydrocarbons, - at least one first surfactant having a hydrophilic radical having a chain length of at least (40) atoms, - at least one second surfactant having a hydrophilic radical having a chain length of at most (20) atoms, where - each of the surfactants present in the dispersion has a long-chain hydrophobic group having at least (14) carbon atoms in the chain, by which it is anchored on the paraffin droplets, and wherein - at least one of the surfactants mentioned is a nonionic surfactant and - at least one of the surfactants mentioned is an anionic surfactant bearing at least one carboxylate group. It preferably further comprises a third, nonionic surfactant which has a hydrophilic radical having a chain length of less than (20) carbon atoms. The invention also relates to a method for producing this dispersion.

The invention relates to an ice generator for the production of an aqueous ice-crystal suspension. The inventive ice generator consists of a heat exchanger with several pipes (2) for an aqueous refrigerating agent, whereby said pipes extend side by side inside a container for said refrigerating agent in an approximately straight line. The inventive device is also provided with a mechanism for removing ice deposits from the inner walls of the pipes (2). The mechanism is fitted with wiper devices (1), which extend into the pipes (2), and a drive unit (9) for said wiper devices. According to the invention, the wiper devices are made up of interconnected wiper elements along the axes of the pipes, whereby the circumference thereof corresponds in a substantial manner to the inner circumference of the pipes (2), and a passage is provided for the cooling agent. The wiper devices (1) are connected to the drive unit (9) which enables them to create a recurrent lifting movement along the axes of the pipes.
