摘要： A radar apparatus is provided with: a transmission module for transmitting a transmission signal in which the frequency is changed over time; a reception module for receiving a radio wave returned by the transmission signal being reflected by an object as a reception signal; a frequency conversion module for generating an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal based on the reception signal; an amplitude signal generation module for generating an in-phase amplitude signal indicating the amplitude of the in-phase signal and a quadrature amplitude signal indicating the amplitude of the quadrature signal; a maximum value selection module for selecting the higher level of the in-phase amplitude signal and the quadrature amplitude signal as the maximum value signal; and a gain adjustment module for adjusting the gain of the reception signal based on the maximum value signal.

摘要： A pulse compression radar for performing pre-distortion is provided, which has a configuration simplified in circuit structure. A radar apparatus (pulse compression radar) 1 includes an antenna 10 configured to externally transmit a transmission signal transmitted by a power amplifier 16 and receive a reflection signal caused thereby as a reception signal. The radar apparatus 1 includes a reception circuit 41 configured to propagate this reception signal to a radar image creating module 26. The radar apparatus 1 corrects beforehand, by utilizing the transmission signal (feedback signal) transmitted from the power amplifier 16, a transmission signal to be inputted into the power amplifier 16 so as to cancel distortion of the transmission signal caused by amplification effect of the power amplifier 16. Further, a circuit where the reception signal passes and a circuit where the feedback signal passes share a part of each other.
