Abstract:
A propellant gas sealing device for artillery shells comprising a projectile and a propellant charge, including a piston (10) attached to the back of the projectile by a separable connector (12) to separate the projectile from the explosive charge, a low pressure seal (14) supported by the piston for sealing the piston from the weapon chamber, and a high pressure plug (17) supported by the piston (10) for sealing the piston from the weapon barrel. The device is suitable for shells in which the propellant charge is separate from the projectile.
Abstract:
The invention concerns the technical sector of containers for heavy calibre ammunitions, in particular ammunitions for field artillery. The inventive container (1) consists of a body (2) comprising at least a cell (9) for receiving an ammunition element, said body having also two side surfaces (5, 6) and a lower surface (7) and an upper surface (8) with matching shapes (28) forming means for positioning the container relative to another container stacked thereon, said container also comprising at least securing means (13) for linking it with another container stacked thereon. The invention is characterised in that the matching shapes (28) ensuring positioning are provided at each angle of the lower (7) and upper (8) surfaces of the container.
