摘要: A lead-acid battery includes a negative electrode material containing graphite or carbon fiber, and barium sulfate or elemental barium. A ratio S/W of an average plate interval S im mm between a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate and a mass W in g of the negative electrode material per one negative electrode plate in the battery is 0.01 mm/g or more. This allows to decrease the battery permeation short circuit occurrence rate and to obtain a lead-acid battery with improved performances especially when used in an environment involving deep discharge.
