摘要： A method for modifying a composite article (10) includes positioning a plug (14) made from composite material at a site (18) on the composite article. The method further includes rotating at least one of the plug (14) and the article (10) at a rate of speed sufficient to form an inertia bond between the plug and the site of the composite article. The plug and the site are engaged to effect an inertia bond therebetween.

摘要： A laser machining system useful for machining internal cavities where visual monitoring is difficult or impossible may include a laser generator (110), a rod (111) configured to extend from and retract towards the laser generator (110), an articulated mirror (112) mounted on the rod (111) and configured to reflect a laser beam (113) generated by the laser generator (110), one or more sensors (140,141), and a controller (120) that may receive data from the sensor (140,141) and determine how and whether to manipulate, based on the data, the rod (111) and the articulated mirror (112) to direct the laser beam (113) generated by the laser generator (110).
