摘要： There is provided a method for capturing an edentulous patient's denture preferences, having the steps of : accepting a first digital image of the patient, presenting a plurality of denture options to the patient, receiving a selection of the denture options, and outputting a second digital image of the patient. There is also provided an apparatus for manipulating digital images of an edentulous patient, comprising an image input that accepts a first digital image of the patient, a user interface that presents a plurality of denture options to the patient, and that receives a selection of the denture options, and an image output that outputs a second digital image of the patient. The second digital image represents dentures installed in the patient according to the selection of the denture options.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for cleaning and polishing dentures during denture fabrication. The stone cast used to make the denture is soaked in a dissolution composition bath for a period of time, which removes the stone cast. The denture is then polished with a solvent composition, where the solvent composition includes an active solvent with low solubility toward acrylics such as polymethyl methylacrylate (PMMA), and a carrier solvent with no solubility toward acrylics. As an alternative to the solvent composition, the denture can be recovered from the stone cast and polished with a device having a robotic arm, with a substrate having a pumice stone slurry.

摘要： A method and apparatus for making a dental appliance of a patient is provided. An electronic scan is made to collect data about the anatomy of the patient's mouth. The first computer digitally receives the data processes it with data of the patient to create facebow data, and transmitting the facebow data to a second computer, which transfers the facebow data to a second articulator. The second articulator duplicates the set up of the first articulator based on that data.

摘要： The present disclosure provides devices and methods for conditioning the facial muscles and tissues of an edentulous patient, and for reconstructing the facial features. A pre-fabricated occlusal splint is applied to the patient's denture, and affixed with an adhesive. A moldable material can also be applied to the splint, and the patient can bite down on the moldable material to make an impression of the proper occlusal contact. The moldable material can then be cured.
