Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for controlling a construction machine and a method for controlling the same, and the system comprising: a bucket control valve which controls the supply of hydraulic oil to a bucket cylinder provided to operate a bucket; a vehicle control unit which controls the bucket control valve by applying a current value to the bucket control valve; a pilot cutoff switch which controls the cutoff of pilot oil pressure controlling the driving or operation of a vehicle and transmits the cutoff to the vehicle control unit; and a bucket joystick which receives a signal from an operator and transmits the signal to the vehicle control unit.
