摘要： An external wheeled heeling apparatus (1010) for walking and running and transitioning to rolling on a surface is provided. The apparatus (1010) includes a sole (1014) having a forefoot (1020), an arch (1018) and a heel portion (1016) provided with a first side (1030) of the heel portion (1016) and a second side (1032) of the heel portion (1016). The forefoot (1020) operable to engage the surface for walking and running. The apparatus (1010) further includes a first wheel (1022) operably coupled to rotate adjacent the first side (1030) of the heel portion (1016) and a second wheel (1022) operably coupled to rotate adjacent the second side (1032) of the heel portion (1016).

摘要： A motorized personal transport apparatus (10) and method of operating the apparatus including a motorized heel bracket (1300) or motorized wheel assembly (1008). The apparatus including a motor (1022) located adjacent to the heel of apparatus to impart forward rotation to at least one wheel. The apparatus able to transition from a walking configuration to a passive configuration to a motor assist configuration. Additionally a motorized wheel assembly is provided that includes an electric motor with a wheel located around the motor to allow the casing of the motor to provide rotation to the wheel.
