    摘要: A rotating magnetic head device in a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus constructed as follows: (1) A cylinder is composed of an upper fixed cylinder and a lower fixed cylinder, a recess is provided in the part of the upper fixed cylinder where a magnetic tape is not wound, and an inner lid, a top case or the like of the tape cassette is arranged (inserted) in the recess in overlapping fashion, thereby making it possible to reduce the size of the apparatus. (2) A stator base which has a surface parallel to a rotary disc having magnetic heads placed threon and which holds a clearance from the rotary member is disposed on the side of the rotary disc closer to the lower fixed cylinder, thereby to magnetically shield a rotary transformer unit from various electromagnetic components and to prevent the degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio of signal transmission attributed to the compaction of the apparatus, and further, various members are received within the lower fixed cylinder, thereby making it possible to heighten the packaging density of the received members and to reduce the size of the apparatus.

    摘要: A rotary cylinder device (1) for helical scan type magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus. The device comprises a rotary cylinder (2) having an axis of rotation and arranged to oppose a stationary cylinder (3) in the direction of the axis of rotation leaving a small gap (35) therebetween. The rotary cylinder has an end surface (2a) facing the stationary cylinder and an outer peripheral surface (2b), and recesses (11, 11') formed in the end surface (2a) and opening in the outer peripheral surface (2b) such as to extend therefrom radially inwardly over a small distance. Each of the recesses has a leading end wall (11b) and a trailing end wall (11a) as viewed in the direction of rotation of the rotary cylinder. The rotary head device further comprises magnetic heads (10, 10') fixed to the rotary cylinder and positioned in the recesses and having outer extremities projecting beyond the outer peripheral surface (2b) of the rotary cylinder. The distance between the leading end wall and the trailing end wall of each recess is progressively decreased towards the axis of rotation of the rotary cylinder such that the distance is greatest at the outer end of the recess adjacent the magnetic head and the smallest at the inner end of the recess remote from the magnetic head.

    摘要: A lid locking mechanism for a magnetic tape cassette intended to achieve improvement of reliability for the magnetic tape cassette by perfect dust prevention and drip prevention. A shutter for opening or closing of tape end detecting windows is integrally provided with a front lid stopper member for the tape cassette. In a state where magnetic tape cassette is unloaded on a related apparatus, the tape end detecting windows is covered by the shutter to shut off dust and drips. The shutter is opened only through releasing function of the front lid stopper member, thereby to provide light path for the tape end detection for carrying out the detection of the tape ends.
