摘要： A recording apparatus of thermal transfer type includes a thermal head (5) having a plurality of linearly-arrayed heat generating elements selectively generating heat in response to the application of a character and pattern information signal providing the thermal transfer energy, and a carrier (1) having a coating of a thermally transferable recording material. A recording medium (7) recording character and pattern information is disposed between the carrier (1) and a platen roller (6) to be transported by the platen roller. At the time of recording character and pattern information on the recording medium (7), the thermal transfer energy is applied to the heat generating elements corresponding to the character and pattern information signal while pressing the thermal head against the platen roller. During the recording, the thermal transfer energy is controlled to correspond to the required density tone of the character and pattern information to be recorded.

摘要： A thermal transfer color recording apparatus comprises a transfer sheet (1) in which a plurality of color inks adapted to be thermally transferred are arrayed in a large number of regions (1y, 1m, 1s), and a thermal head (2) in which a plurality of heat generating elements (2a) adapted to generate heat in response to a picture recording signal are arrayed in the form of a line. The transfer sheet (1) and a recording medium (6) placed one over the other are conveyed in a forward or reverse direction by a platen roller (3) while being depressed by the thermal head (2), and only the transfer sheet (1) is conveyed without the depression of the termal head (2). When the transfer sheet (1) and the recording medium (6) are conveyed in the forward or reverse direction by the platen roller (3) while being depressed by the thermal head (2), the picture recording signal corresponding to each color is applied to the thermal head (2), whereby the plurality of colors of the inks are registered and transferred on the recording medium (6) in succession and in single-color unit, and a color picture is recorded.

摘要： A heat sensitive transfer recording apparatus comprising a carrier (2) such as a transfer film to which applied is a transfer material that may be heat transferred, a thermal head (1) having a number of heater elements (1a) each producing heats in accordance with an image signal, and a platen roller (4) rotatable in a forward direction or in a reverse direction. The carrier (2) and a recording medium (3) such as a recording paper overlapped on the carrier (2) are delivered in the forward direction by the platen roller (4) while being pressed by the thermal head (1), whereupon the image recording is carried out. Also, in case of multi-color overlap recording, the recording medium (3) is delivered in the reverse direction under a pressure release condition of the thermal head (1) by an assistant roller (7) provided on a recording medium pay-out side with respect to the transfer position defined between the platen roller (4) and the thermal head (1).
