The flow channel may define at least one critical area in which water is enabled to collect when the water application device is not applying water. The critical area may include at least one compensator receiver (320) configured to receive a compensator (300) comprising compressible material configured to enable the compensator to be compressed within the critical area to increase an effective volume of the critical area. One of the compensator or the critical area may be provided with at least one retention rib (330, 340) to facilitate holding the compensator in the critical area.

    摘要: For a watering apparatus, in particular a garden hose that can be held by hand, comprising a flow-rate measurement device, the invention proposes removably fastening a nozzle body (DK1, DK2) on a main body (HK1, HK2) of the watering apparatus and arranging a turbine unit (TE) of the flow-rate measurement device in a turbine mount (TA) of the apparatus housing such that, when the nozzle body (DK1, DK2) is connected to the main body (HK1, HK2) in the operating position, the turbine unit (TE) is fixed in the turbine mount (TA), and, once the connection between the nozzle body (DK1, DK2) and main body (HK1, HK2) is released, the turbine unit (TE) can be removed from the turbine mount, for example for exchange or for cleaning purposes. The nozzle body (DK1, DK2) and main body (HK1, HK2) are formed in the operating position by an additional securing element, which preferably forms a further housing part of the apparatus housing. An electronics housing (GE1, GE2) can be fastened releasably on the main body (HK1, HK2) and/or can be fastened releasably on the nozzle body (DK1, DK2), wherein, when the electronics housing (GE1, GE2) is fastened, a battery mount is obscured and a battery is held such that it is secured against falling out. The electronics housing (GE1, GE2) is preferably used at the same time as a securing element for securing the connection between the nozzle body (DK1, DK2) and the main body (HK1, HK2).

The operable member (30, 140) may remain in the unlocked state when the locking member (144) is in the unlocked position regardless of the compression of the operable member (30, 140) and the locking member (144) may not contact the locking head (146) when the locking member (144) is in the unlocked position.

A planar surface may be provided at the back portion. The planar surface lies in a plane intersecting a longitudinal centerline of the back portion at a point along a length of the back portion. The planar surface may define at least part of a range of motion of a flow control lever of the volume control assembly.
