Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur schichtbildenden Zinkphosphatierung von Bauteilen umfassend Oberflächen von Stahl mit hoher Toleranz gegenüber im Zinkphosphatierbad gelöstem Aluminium, bei dem die Ausfällung schwerlöslicher Aluminiumsalze weitgehend vermieden werden kann. In dem Verfahren wird auf eine Aktivierung der Zinkoberflächen mittels Dispersionen enthaltend partikuläres Hopeit, Phosphophyllit, Scholzit und/oder Hureaulith zurückgegriffen, wobei der Anteil an partikulären Phosphaten in der Aktivierung der Menge an freiem Fluorid und gelöstem Aluminium in der Zinkphosphatierung angepasst werden muss.

The invention relates to a multistage method for treating composite metal constructions for corrosion protection, comprising metal surfaces of aluminum, zinc, and optionally iron, wherein, in the first step, the selective zinc phosphating of the zinc and iron surfaces is carried out using a phosphating solution, comprising water-soluble inorganic compounds of silicon in a quantity sufficient for suppressing pinholing on the zinc surfaces, but not exceeding a quantity at which the zinc phosphating loses selectivity. In the subsequent second step of the method according to the invention, the aluminum surfaces are passivated by means of an acid treatment solution. The invention further relates to a zinc phosphating solution suitable for use in the method according to the invention comprising at least 0.025 g/l, but less than 1 g/l of silicon in the form of water-soluble inorganic compounds calculated as SiF6, wherein the product (Si/mM)-(F/mM) of the concentration of silicon (Si in mM) in the form of water-soluble inorganic compounds and the concentration of free fluoride (F in mM) divided by the number of points of free acids is no greater than 5.

The present invention relates to a chromium-free aqueous agent based on water-soluble compounds of titanium and/or zirconium and a source of fluoride ions, copper ions and metal ions selected from the group consisting of calcium, magnesium, aluminum, boron, zinc, iron, manganese and/or tungstene and to a method for the anti-corrosive conversion treatment of metal surfaces. The chromium-free aqueous agent is suitable for the treatment of various metal materials, joined in composite structures, amongst others of steel or galvanized steel or the alloys thereof or any combinations of said materials. Furthermore, surfaces of aluminum and alloys thereof can be treated in an anti-corrosive manner using the agent according to the invention. The anti-corrosive treatment is intended in particular as a pretreatment for a subsequent dip-coating. The invention further relates to a metallic substrate that was treated according to a predefined method sequence with the chromium-free agent according to the invention and to the use thereof, particularly in the automotive production of vehicle bodies.

An acid, aqueous phosphatising solution containing 0.2 to 3 g/l zinc(II) ions, 3 to 50 g/l phosphate ions, calculated as PO43-, 15 to 50 mg/l hydrogen peroxide or an equivalent amount of a hydrogen peroxide-cleaving substance, 0.5 to 1.5 g/l one or more aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acids with 3-6 C atoms, has a free acid content of maximum one point; in a process for phosphatising metal surfaces made of steel, zinc-coated steel or alloyed zinc-coated steel and/or aluminium, the metal surfaces are brought into contact with this phosphatising solution by spraying or dipping, or by a combination of the same, for a period of 3 seconds to 8 minutes.
