The present invention relates to a process for the production of a capacitor, comprising the process steps: a) the provision of an electrode body (1) of an electrode material (2), wherein a dielectric (3) covers one surface (4) of this electrode material (2) at least partly to form an anode body (5); b) bringing into contact the anode body (5) with a liquid composition comprising3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, at least one additive and at least one solvent, wherein - the boiling point (1013 mbar) of the at least one additive is at least 50°C higher than the boiling point (1013 mbar) of the at least one solvent, or - wherein the at least one additive has a molecular weight of at least 200 g/mol and wherein ii) the weight ratio additive : 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene in the liquid composition is ≥ 0.3, iii) the weight ratio (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene + additive) : solvent is ≤ 1, and iv) the liquid composition contains less than 1000 ppm, based on the weight of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, of an oxidizing agent;
c) at least partial removal of the solvent; d) bringing into contact the anode body (5) with at least one oxidizing agent; e) in situ polymerization of 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene. The present invention also relates to the capacitor obtainable by this process, a reaction solution, an electronic circuit and the use of capacitors.

The present invention relates to a capacitor comprising as components: i. an electrode body (1) made of an electrode material (2), wherein a dielectric (3) at least partially covers the surface (4) of this electrode material (2) and forms an anode body (5), ii. wherein the anode body (5) is at least partially coated with a solid electrolyte (6) and forms a capacitor body (7), iii. wherein the capacitor body (7) comprises an organic impregnating agent (8), wherein the capacitor has the following properties: (α1) a decrease of the capacitance of at most 20%; on reducing the temperature from 20°C to -45°C; and (α2) a breakdown voltage of at least 50 V; wherein the organic impregnating agent has a melting point of less than 150°C and has no boiling point. The invention also relates to the use of an electrolytic capacitor and electronic circuits.

The present invention relates to a process for producing a liquid composition comprising a functionalized π-conjugated polythiophenes, comprising the process steps of i) providing a liquid phase comprising a) thiophene monomers of the general formula (I)
wherein X,Y are identical or different and are O, S, or NR 1 , wherein R 1 is hydrogen or an aliphatic or aromatic residue having 1 to 18 carbon atoms; A is organic residue carrying an anionic functional group; b) an oxidizing agent; and c) a solvent; ii) oxidatively polymerizing the thiophene monomers of the general formula (I) to obtain a liquid composition comprising functionalized π-conjugated polythiophenes; wherein (α1) the pH of the liquid phase provided in process step i) is adjusted to a value below 7.0, wherein the pH is determined at a temperature of 20°C; and (α2) the chloride content of the liquid phase provided in process step i) is less than 10,000 ppm, based on the total weight of the liquid phase. The present invention also relates to the liquid composition obtainable by this process, to a process for the preparation of a capacitor in which this liquid composition is used for the formation of the solid electrolyte, to a capacitor obtainable by this process and to the use of the liquid composition for the preparation of a conductive layer.
