A heat resistant steel of the present invention contains 0.05 to 0.2 wt. % of C, less than 0.5 wt °o of Si, less than 0.6 wt. % of Mn, 8 to 13 wt. % of Cr, 1.5 to 3 wt. % of Mo, 2 to 3 wt. % of Ni, 0.05 to 0.3 wt. % of V, 0.02 to 0.2 wt. % in total of either or both of Nb and Ta, 0.02 to 0.1 wt. % of N and the balance substantially Fe. Since a gas turbine of the present invention is constituted by members, such as discs, blades, shafts and so forth, made of alloys of this kind, the gas turbine has a structure in which it is possible to achieve a high level of creep rupture strength and Charpy impact value.

Combined generator system having a gas turbine, a compact steam turbine of high and low pressure portions-integrating type and a generator. The gas turbine comprises a compressor for compressing combustion air, a burner for generating combustion gas, stationary blades for leading the combustion gas in a predetermined direction and a rotor having blades driven by the combustion gas. The steam turbine being provided with a high temperature and high pressure turbine portion, a medium pressure portion into which interheated steam from the high pressure portion is introduced with a high temperature and a medium pressure, and a low pressure portion into which steam from the medium pressure portion is introduced. Further the rotor of this steam turbine is provided with an integrated rotor shaft (3), blades (4) fixed on the rotor shaft in a multistage order from the high pressure side to the low pressure side of the steam, bearings (12) supporting the high and low pressure portions of the rotor, and a casing covering the rotor. The rotor of the steam turbine is designed for a temperature of at least 530 °C at the steam inlet stage blades and the length of the rotor blades (4) at the final stage in the low pressure side of the steam turbine are at least 762 mm.

The subject of the invention is a heat resisting steel of Ni-Cr-Mo-V low alloy steel containing, by weight, 0.15 to 0.4 % C, not more than 0.1 % Si, 0.05 to 0.25 % Mn, 1.5 to 2.5 % Ni, 0.8 to 2.5 % Cr, 0.8 to 2.5 % Mo, and 0.15 to 0.35 % V, said steel having a ratio (Mn/Ni) not more than 0.12 and/or a ratio (Si + Mn)/Ni not more than 0.18. Such alloy steel can advantageously be used as a material for an integrated rotor shaft of a steam turbine rotor. This integrated rotor shaft (3) has a bainite structure obtained by a heat treatment, a high temperature strength for withstanding steam temperatures of not less than 530 °C at its high pressure inlet side and a high toughness at low temperatures for withstanding steam temperatures of not more than 100 °C at its low pressure outlet side. The blades of at least the final stage have a length of not less than 760 mm and the ratio L/D of a shaft length (L) between the shaft bearings (12) to the diameter (D) of the rotor in its final stage being 1.4 to 2.3.
