    摘要： A tape cassette comprising an inserting opening disposed in a main body case and a detecting optical path, for detecting the leading and rear ends of a tape, interposed between the inserting opening and an optical path window formed in the left and right side walls of the case, wherein the first distinguishing member is rotatably inserted into an upper portion of the inserting opening, is supported to be vertically slidable, and a mechanism for holding the first distinguishing member in each state is disposed between the first distinguishing member and the main body case, thereby to allow a tape deck to have a simple internal construction even though the tape cassette is of a smaller size, and to provide a construction of the detecting opening preferable for detecting cassette information so that the tape cassette can be used in a compatible form.

    摘要： For providing a recording guidance method to increase an operability of a broadcast receiving apparatus, installing a removable hard disk in addition to an internal information recording medium built therein, within the broadcast receiving apparatus which comprises a display portion and at least an install-type HDD 25 and a removable HDD (i.e., iVDR) 26, so as to enable recording of a broadcast program(s), selectively. The recording is conducted into the install-type HDD 25, in substitution, if the removable iVDR 26 is not inserted therein when executing the recording programmed onto the said removable iVDR 26, as well as displaying a message on the display portion, for prompting to insert the iVDR.

    摘要： 5 n7 A television signal receiving apparatus which can read program information relevant to a television program from an optical disk medium, interlocked with the television program and can reproduce and display the read program information. Program information (broadcasting information including program names, broadcasting channel names and broadcasting dates and times and appendant information relevant to the contents of the programs) relevant to the television programs to be displayed by the television receiver/display (102) is recorded in the optical disk medium (106). When a user instructs a display of the program information by the selection and decision input unit (110), the television control unit (103) transmits the display request and time information from the clock apparatus (104) to the control unit (108) of the optical disk unit (105). The control unit (108) makes the appendant information to be reproduced from the optical disk medium (106), by using the broadcasting channel name and the time information as retrieval information. The appendant information is sent to the television receiver/display (102) through the interface (109) and is displayed in a picture and sound.
