摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing for example a cylindrical surface (Fig. 10) which has a suitable surface structure of a predetermined geometry for applying material by thermal spraying. According to said method, a geometrically defined groove structure (Fig. 10) of minor depth and width is introduced into the surface, for example cylindrical surface, of a substrate to be coated, which surface is premachined to size using a tool which is preferably a follow-on tool (12; Fig. 1), by gradually bringing a groove cross-section to a desired measure. In order for the surface to be producible in series with a constant quality, the groove structure is introduced by first machining a basic groove (52B; Fig. 10) having a groove root width which is smaller than the groove root width of the finished groove (52). The groove, for example at least one flank (52-1 & 52-2) of the basic groove, is then machined in a non-cutting or cutting manner to produce an undercut groove profile, the groove structure produced by introduction being deformed in such a manner that the groove openings are made narrower by upsetting deformation.

摘要: Described is a multi-blade cutting and drilling finishing tool, in particular a reamer, for machining deep, especially stepped bores. Said tool comprises a set of blades having a predetermined nominal diameter and blades that are distributed in a substantially regular manner along the circumference. In order to make it easier to guide the tool along the central axis, a set of guiding strips (36) in the form of very accurately placed and preferably cylindrically ground cutting inserts (36-1 to 36-n) is located behind the set of blades (32) in the advancing direction. Each of said cutting inserts (36-1 to 36-n) is axially flush with the blades (32-1 to 32-n) of the adjacent set of blades (32) in the advancing direction of the tool and has a nominal diameter (D36) which is smaller than the nominal diameter of the set of blades (32) substantially by twice the size of a lubrication gap forming when the tool is used.
