摘要： The invention relates to a connection system (10), which comprises at least one plug-in element (11) and a counterpart (21) having an opening (34) for receiving said plug-in element (11), into which the plug-in element (11) can be inserted and locked. The plug-in element (11) and the opening (34) in the counterpart (21) have a rectangular cross-section in the direction of insertion. In order to achieve high functional reliability, reduce space requirements and allow a continuous arrangement in rows, the plug-in connection system is provided with a locking mechanism (18, 18', 25, 25') for locking the plug-in element (11) and the counterpart (21) on diagonally opposite edges of the plug-in element (11) and/or the counterpart (21).
