The multiple layers (12) of holographic exposure combine to form holographic stacks (10) and are fabricated from layers (12) of exposed and processed photosensitive recording films, each of which having at least one independently recorded hologram. The holographic stacks (10) are useful for providing wide bandwidth holograms and holograms having superimposed images (Fig. 1).

    摘要: Photosensitive films (20) which are protected by suitable barrier materials (32) are described. The protective barriers (32) form a film on at least one surface (30) of a layer of photosensitive material (26) and the protective barriers (32) are water soluble polymeric materials having a refractive index similar to the refractive index of the recording film (20). The protected photosensitive recording films (20) are useful for recording high efficiency holograms on photopolymers in the presence of index matching immersion oils.

The guard hologram can be parallel fringe reflection hologram or a slant fringe reflection hologram.
