摘要: A system for detecting a presence of a liquid within a receptacle includes a sensor and a processor. The sensor includes a transmitting probe and a receiving probe positioned within the liquid receptacle. The transmitting probe includes a first transducer and the receiving probe includes a second transducer. The processor is in electrical communication with the first and second transducers and monitors the first and second transducers to determine the presence and level of the liquid within the liquid receptacle based on a time between generation of a first extensional wave by the first transducer and reception of a second extensional wave by the second transducer.

摘要: Certain embodiments provide an acoustic wave touch bar system and method of use. Certain embodiments include a bar having two portions of reduced cross-section forming an acoustic cavity in the portion of the bar between the reduced cross-sections. The system includes an acoustic wave transducer positioned on the acoustic wave cavity, wherein the transducer generates an acoustic standing wave that is substantially trapped in the acoustic cavity. The system also includes a circuit coupled to the transducer and responsive to a change in an output of the transducer to detect a touch on a touch surface of the bar. The circuit may be a programmable and/or adaptive circuit, for example. The circuit may detect a change in an exponentially decaying response of the transducer indicating that the touch surface of the bar has been touched.

摘要: An acoustic wave sensor includes an electromagnetic acoustic transducer to generate a resonant acoustic wave substantially trapped in an acoustic wave cavity. The acoustic wave cavity (12) is defined by a radially symmetric raised surface. The electromagnetic acoustic transducer includes a spiral primary coil (30) to generate the acoustic wave in the acoustic wave cavity (12) and a concentric spiral pickup coil (32) to pick up an electrical signal representing the acoustic wave in the cavity (12). A noise canceling coil (34) portion is used to cancel spurious noise induced by the primary coil (30) from the pickup coil (32) to provide an output signal representing the acoustic wave energy in the cavity (12).
