摘要： The invention relates to a clamping device for fixing the position of an adjustable vehicle steering column which is guided in carrier arms of a fixed console and comprises a tie bolt (30) on which a ramp disk (33) provided with clamping ramps is coaxially arranged, said clamping ramps respectively having a contour which continuously changes in the peripheral direction from a release position to a clamping position. Rolling bodies (32) are supported on the clamping ramps in the clamping direction of the ramp disk (33), said rolling bodies being guided in a guiding cage (31) which is rotatably arranged on the tie bolt (30). According to the invention, a second ramp disk (34) provided with clamping ramps and arranged in the opposite direction to the first ramp disk (33) is coaxially arranged on the tie bolt (30), the rolling bodies (32) also being supported on the clamping ramps of said second ramp disk. For each rolling body (32), the corresponding clamping ramps of both ramp disks (33, 34) have the same geometrical shape.
