An example apparatus includes memory, instructions, and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to initiate a search for one of an access point or a cluster head at a first time, in response to detection of the cluster head, initiate an intra-cluster mobile edge platform (MEP) mutual authentication associated with the cluster head, cause transmission of historical activity data to at least one MEP associated with the cluster head, and cause storage of an authentication metric in a secure storage, the authentication metric based on historical connectivity data.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to manage operation of variable-state computing devices using artificial intelligence are disclosed. An example computing device includes a hardware platform. The example computing device also includes an artificial intelligence (AI) engine to: determine a context of the device; and adjust an operation of the hardware platform based on an expected change in the context of the device. The adjustment modifies at least one of a computational efficiency of the device, a power efficiency of the device, or a memory response time of the device.

In one example, a method of servicing a plurality of data flows of a plurality of wireless devices using a plurality of protocols includes: monitoring one or more interfaces that communicate using the plurality of protocols, activating a first interface upon detecting a demand to exchange data thereon, wherein a connectivity manager performs the monitoring, and activating, extracting, by a packet analyzer, packet metadata from one or more of the plurality of data flows, determining latency encountered and bandwidth utilized by the one or more data flows based on the packet metadata, applying, by an adaptive connectivity manager (ACM), a latency reduction strategy to attempt to comply with latency criteria, and applying, by a bandwidth utilization manager (BUM), a bandwidth reduction strategy to attempt to comply with bandwidth criteria.

摘要: Technology for receiving streaming media content is disclosed. A media presentation description (MPD) for the streaming media content can be received at a user equipment (UE). A streaming interval can be selected for the streaming media content. A power consumption level can be calculated for receiving the streaming media content at each of a plurality of media content representations that are described in the MPD. A media content representation can be selected from the plurality of media content representations based on: the power consumption level associated with receiving the streamed media content at the media content representation; and power status information for the UE, using the one or more processors of the UE. The streaming media content can be received at the selected media content representation, at the UE, in accordance with the streaming interval. The streaming media content can be played at the UE.

摘要: The increasing amount of internet traffic from video streaming services, in addition to users requesting more personalized content and creating/sharing video content, has led to a huge demand for highly scalable and efficient distribution of video content, especially with mobile computing devices. Embodiments provide a network and service infrastructure better suited to these video content distribution and mobility needs. More intelligence is provided in the network infrastructure through an awareness of the user status/activity, end-user device, and content characteristics in correlation with the network bandwidth conditions. In this view of adding more intelligence in the network, additional communication is utilized between the service platform and the network to identify content characteristics (e.g., video content, content encoding characteristics), network characteristics, and device characteristics.
