摘要: Methods, devices and a computer-readable medium are disclosed for an uplink transmission opportunity in a high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) are disclosed. A HEW station is disclosed that may include circuitry configured to receive a trigger frame with a first duration from a HEW master station, determine a second duration based on the first duration, generate a packet with the second duration, and transmit the packet with the second duration in an uplink transmission opportunity to the master station in accordance with at least one from the following group: orthogonal frequency division multiple-access and multiple-user multiple-input multiple-output. The trigger frame may include a resource map and the HEW station may transmit the packet on a channel indicated in the resource map. The second duration may be indicated in a legacy portion of the packet. The second duration may extend to one short interframe space before an acknowledgement of the packet.

摘要: Wireless devices, methods, and computer readable media for fragmentation and aggregation with block acknowledgement in a wireless local-area network. A wireless communication device for fragmentation may include circuitry configured to fragment a media access control (MAC) service data unit (MSDU) into a plurality of MAC protocol data units (MPDU). The circuitry may be configured to set a sequence number field of each of the MPDUs of the plurality of MPDUs, where the sequence number indicates the relative position of the MPDU in a transmission stream of MPDUs, and set a position indication field of each of the MPDUs of the plurality of MPDUs to indicate a position of each MPDU in the plurality of MPDUs. The position indication field may indicate whether each MPDU is a start, a middle, or a last MPDU. The circuitry may be configured to aggregate MSDUs and fragments of MSDUs.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for MU-RTS and CTS are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station including processing circuitry configured to generate a packet to indicate a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS) and to indicate channels on which one or more HEW stations are to transmit a clear-to-send (CTS). The HEW master station further including a transceiver configured to transmit the packet to the one or more HEW stations, and receive clear-to-send responses to the packet on the one or more channels. An apparatus of a HEW station is also disclosed. The HEW station including circuitry configured to receive a packet that indicates a MU-RTS that indicates channels on which the HEW station is to transmit a CTS, and to determine whether to send the CTS.

An apparatus is disclosed that comprises circuitry that is configured to generate a packet to indicate a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS), wherein the packet indicates one or more HEW station information fields, wherein the one or more HEW station information fields comprise an address of a HEW station and an indication of a bandwidth for the HEW station to transmit one or more clear-to-send (CTS) packets; and transmit the packet to the one or more HEW stations. A HEW device is disclosed that includes circuitry configured to receive a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS); copy a scramble seed from the MU-RTS to a clear-to-send (CTS) packet; and transmit the CTS packet.

摘要: Described are methods and devices for increasing the efficiency of Wi-Fi networks by increased spatial reuse, which refers to sharing the same wireless spectral resources over different spatial regions. A described technique for doing this is for a Wi-Fi device to increase the threshold of the clear channel assessment (CCA) so as to ignore and regard as interference the transmissions from other devices. The sensing range of the Wi-Fi device then decreases, and the spatial resource can be reused by different Wi-Fi devices in different spatial locations.

摘要: A transmitter/receiver pair may estimate a first channel interference caused during the spatial reuse phase by the transmitter/receiver pair to other transmitter/receiver pairs over a channel. A second channel interference experienced by the transmitter/receiver pair may be estimated during the spatial reuse phase by the transmitter/receiver pair from the other transmitter/receiver pairs. An interference margin may be estimated for the channel based on the first and second channel interferences. The interference margin may be announced to the other transmitter/receiver pairs in frame. The interference margin may then be complied with while communicating over the channel in order to control the interference.
