摘要： The invention relates to a thermally controlled mechanical switch actuating a valve, especially a drip-stop-valve in a steam iron. Said switch comprises a bimetal snap disk (2) affixed to a supporting member, especially a steam iron, and a transmission lever (4) sensing a snap movement of the edge of the snap disk (6) and transmitting the snap movement to the valve with increased adjustment travel. The transmission lever (4) is embodied as a substantially flat, stamped and folded part at least partially covered by the bimetal snap disk (2). The edge (6) of the snap disk is partially impinged upon and is secured together with the centre (7) of the bimetal snap disk (2). The securing section (9) of the transmission lever (4) is provided with a securing recess (8) which is cut out in the shape of a tongue. The end (11) of the tongue is oriented towards the actuation end (12) of the transmission lever (4) which protrudes above the end (6) of the snap disk (2) and interacts with the valve.
