    摘要： A cylinder head gasket (1, 21) for an internal combustion engine is formed of a first metal plate (2, 22) extending substantially throughout an entire area of the gasket. The metal plate includes a base portion (2a, 22a), at least one hole (10) corresponding to a cylinder bore of the engine, a curved portion (7a, 27a) for defining the at least one hole, and a flange (7, 27) extending from the curved portion to be located above the base portion. A plated layer (2b, 22b) formed of soft metal is disposed on at least one surface of the base portion, curved portion and flange of the first metal plate facing outwardly of the gasket to thereby form a sealing portion by the plated layer.

    摘要： A metal gasket (G) is formed of a metal plate (15) having a base portion (15a) extending substantially throughout an entire area of the gasket and a hole (Hc) in the metal plate. A main bead (16) is formed in the plate to surround the hole, and has a first head portion (16a) located above the base portion. Two auxiliary beads (17) are formed in the plate to sandwich the main bead therebetween. Each auxiliary bead (17) has a second head portion (17a) located below the base portion and a height (HB) less than a height (HA) of the main bead (16). When the gasket is tightened, the surface pressures are concentrated at the head portions to secure seal around the hole and to provide balanced surface pressures.

    摘要： A metal gasket (A) of the invention is used for an internal combustion engine, and is basically formed of a metal plate for constituting the gasket. The metal plate includes a hole (H) and a bead around the hole (H) for sealing therearound. A first coating layer (A11) is formed on at least a part of an upper surface of the metal plate (A10) except an upper portion of the bead. Thus, when the gasket is used, reduction of a surface pressure formed on the bead is prevented while fluid flowing through the hole (H) is prevented by the bead and the first coating layer (A11). The metal plate may be combined with one or more metal plates to constitute a metal laminate gasket.
