摘要： The present invention is compositions, methods of use, methods of treating, and articles of manufacture that include at least one silver iodate for imparting antimicrobial properties, particularly as it relates to the manufacture, use, and properties of medical devices. The invention also includes obtaining and using one or more silver iodate reaction products from a diperiodatoargentate, wherein the reaction products are obtained using a hydrothermal reaction.
