    摘要: The invention relates to a method for the post-treatment of titanium dioxide for the production of particularly weather-resistant titanium dioxide pigments with good optical properties. The method is characterised in that in addition to the water-containing oxides of tin and zirconium, at least one further oxide of the group aluminium, silicon and titanium is co-precipitated on the particle surface. The addition of the post-treatment components to the aqueous TiO 2 suspension either occurs in acidic solution (pH value of max. 3) or in alkaline solution (pH value of min. 10). The pH value is subsequently adjusted to 6 to 8. By means of subsequent tempering of the pigment at elevated temperatures of over 125 and up to 500 °C, the colour tone b can be improved. The pigment is particularly suitable for use in dyes, paints and plastics.

    摘要: The invention relates to a weather-stable titanium dioxide pigment, which has good optical properties and a dense silicon dioxide skin doped with metal atoms. Particularly suitable doping elements are tin, zirconium and titanium. The dense silicon dioxide skin consists of a number of layers, the innermost of which not containing a significant quantity of metal atoms. The inventive coating is produced by adding the constituents in succession into the alkaline suspension (pH value of at least 9) during which the pH value decreases. In order to completely form the doped dense SiO2 skin, it is necessary to slowly decrease the pH value until reaching a value less than 9. The pigment is particularly suited for use in paints, varnishes and plastics.

    摘要: The invention relates to a coated titanium dioxide pigment that has good opacity and good retention and is used in decorative paper. Also disclosed is a method for producing said pigment. The inventive pigment is characterized by a surface coating containing aluminum oxide phosphate and attached hollow bodies. The inventive production method is characterized in that an aluminum component and a phosphorus component are first introduced into a TiO2 suspension while the pH value does not drop below 10. Then the hollow bodies are added, whereupon at least one acidic component is added such that the pH value of the suspension is lowered to a value ranging between 4 and 9. In an alternative embodiment of said method, the suspension has a pH value of less than 4 when the aluminum component and the phosphorus component are added.
