摘要： Generating a three-dimensional image by means of a pair of cameras (2, 2’) for ensuring separation of persons in a gate for persons and checking by means thereof that no more than one person (3) passes through the gate for persons at the same time is typical. The aim of the invention is to improve the known system and speed up the capture. The aim is achieved according to the invention by the use of one or more TOF cameras (2, 2’) providing a three-dimensional height profile of the monitored spatial volume (1) simultaneous to the image information provided by the cameras (2, 2’), wherein optionally shadowing points or angle errors in said height profile can be corrected or supplemented by data of a further TOF camera (2, 2’).
