The present invention pertains to a flux-cored wire for submerged arc welding in which the interior of a steel outer layer is filled with flux, the flux-cored wire containing prescribed quantities of each of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Ti, B, CaF 2 , and Mg in relation to the total mass of the wire, and the amounts of each of N and O in the outer layer being restricted so as to be equal to or less than a prescribed value.
