    摘要： The present invention provides an apparatus which employs a mechanical removal system in place of a conventional air jet system, in removing a residual lap on a spool. The residual lap removal apparatus according to the present invention principally comprises a bobbin holder (15), a rotational brush (20) and a spike roller (30), wherein the spool (LB) on a conveyor (51) is carried to a rotating position of the rotational brush (20) by the bobbin holder (15), the residual lap (L) on the spool is mechanically removed by the brush (20), and the lap (L) on the rotational brush (20) is transferred to spike pins (30c) on the spike roller (30) whereby the removal processing of the residual lap (L) can be positively carried out.

    摘要： A residual lap clearing apparatus for clearing a residual lap from a lap bobbin. The residual lap clearing apparatus comprises a rotary brush roller (11) for stripping the residual lap off the lap bobbin, a support roller (13) for supporting a lap package for residual lap clearing opera­tion, a brake mechanism (21) for braking the lap package during the re­sidual lap clearing operation, and a comb roller (12) for removing bunch­es of fibers caught in the bristles of the rotary brush roller off the ro­tary brush roller. The rotary brush roller (11) surely finds the free end of the residual lap and clears the residual lap perfectly from the lap bobbin.
