摘要:
In order to absorb collision energy so as to prevent an increase in reaction force against a pedestrian to a level higher than or equal to a certain level during collision, a bumper absorber of the present invention includes: a trunk part that extends in an X direction and that is simply compressed in the X direction in response to an impact; and a branch part that branches off from the trunk part toward a rear of a vehicle body, the branch part having a branching part in which the branch part branches off from the trunk part and which is provided with a breakage inducing part that causes breakage between the trunk part and the branch part in response to the impact.

To absorb energy so that a reaction force against a pedestrian does not increase to a level higher than or equal to a certain level at a time of collision, a bumper absorber (20) includes: a first structure (21) whose cross-sectional structure perpendicular to a Y direction has a mountain shape; and a second structure (22) which has a shape such that the second structure is simply compressed in an X direction. The first structure (21) has, in a rear end surface (21b) thereof, a groove (21c) extending in the Y direction. A dimension (A) of the first structure (21) in the X direction is greater than a dimension (A') of the second structure (22) in the X direction. Densities of the first and second structures (21 and 22) and a width (D) and a depth (C) of the groove (22c) of the first structure (21) are set to specific ranges.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a me thyl methacrylate expanded mold article that rarely generates smoke and soot upon ignition, that can be expanded at a high expansion ra tio, and that is hardly broken upon deformation. The problem is sol ved by an expandable poly methyl methacrylate particle comprising a polymer obtained from 100 parts by weight of an acrylic monomer, a nd not less than 0.05 parts by weight and not more than 0.15 parts b y weight of a polyfunctional monomer, wherein the acrylic monomer c omprises not less than 90% by weight and not more than 98% by weight of methyl methacrylate and not less than 2% by weight and not more than 10% by weight of an C 2-8 alkyl acrylate.
