The system (104) also includes a pump control valve (212) having a closed position in which the compressed gas is prevented from flowing to the turbo pump (206) and an open position in which the compressed gas is ported to the turbo pump (206) to cause the turbo pump (206) to convert the compressed gas into the power. The system also includes an OBIGGS (118) to convert bleed air from a gas turbine engine (114) into an inert gas to provide low rate discharge (LRD) fire suppression to the cargo compartment (102).

    摘要: A fire extinguishing agent concentration measuring system (10) includes a first window (38), a second window (42) positioned relative to the first window, thereby defining a sensing volume (18) between the first window and the second window, a tube (54) configured to port a flow of a fluid (20) including the agent (22) from an environment (62) through the sensing volume, a fluid motion mechanism (66), such as a pump or a vacuum source, in operable communication with the tube and configured to cause laminar or turbulent flow of the fluid through the tube and through the sensing volume, a light source (26) for transmitting light through the first window, the sensing volume and the second window, and a sensor (50) for detecting the light after passing through the first and second windows and the sensing volume. The sensor may be calibrated to correlate the detected light to a concentration of the fire extinguishing agent, which may be solid particulates scattering the light.
