摘要: A voltage converter comprises an inductive circuit (L) for storing energy during an inductive magnetizing mode and transferring energy during an inductive demagnetizing mode. In addition the voltage converter comprises at least two non-inverting branches (12,13,14) for providing at least two non-inverted output voltages (Va,Vb,Vc) and an inverting branch (15) for providing an inverted output voltage. The inverting (15) and non-inverting (12,13,14) branches being parallely coupled to an output (10) of the inductive circuit (L). The inductive circuit being arranged to transfer energy to the inverting branch (15) and to one of the at least two non-inverting branches (12,13,14). Through this, the inverted voltage (Vinv) and the corresponding non-inverted output voltage (Va,Vb,Vc) of the one of the at least two non-inverting branches (12,13,14) are having an opposite polarity and a substantially equal magnitude.

摘要: The present invention relates to a multiple-output voltage converter. A basic idea of the present invention is to provide a multiple-output converter which may be adapted to various output power conditions. The converter has, in an exemplifying embodiment, three outputs which all share a common tapped inductor (301, 302). An inductor tap is employed to control the inductance of the inductor. A large inductance is used for low power standby operation and a small inductance is used when, for example, the LED backlight is switched on. Switches are arranged at the converter outputs to select to which one of the respective converter outputs the energy of the inductor is to be transferred.

By furthermore providing at least one subswitch (13-A, 13-B, 13-C) in the subsystem, between the energy storage device and an electrical device of the subsystem, control over the device is still possible when the subsystem is disconnected form the main source of electrical energy.

摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) system comprising means for generating a number of LCD drive voltages with values symmetrical with respect to a predetermined voltage value, said means having a configuration of buffer capacitors to provide each of the LCD drive voltages with a buffer capacitance, the LCD system further comprising an LCD driver circuit with matrix switching and control means to supply the terminals of an LCD panel with voltages corresponding to said LCD drive voltages, resulting in a proper light level of the pixels of the LCD panel. To define the LCD drive voltage values, at least one charge pump unit is provided with at least one pump capacitor and switching elements, which at least one charge pump unit is connected to the buffer capacitors.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of driving a display comprising: - receiving grey level input data, comprising a subpixel input data consisting of N bits, from an external image data source; - mapping the L upper bits of the N-bit subpixel input data to an L-bit first mapped data, where L≤(N-1); - generating an additional bit of mapped data; - using the lower N-L bits of said N-bit subpixel input data for a control operation; including providing a driver data consisting of L+l bits, based on the first mapped data and the additional bit of mapped data, to a driver circuit; and - controlling the driver circuit to output driving voltages set in relation to the driver data, to a display element, wherein the total number of voltage levels correspond to the maximum value representable by the L bits, plus one. The control operation further comprises, performing frame mixing comprising providing said driver data as either representing said first mapped data or an increment thereof. The additional bit is, inter alia, used to enable representation of said increment.
