摘要: The invention relates to an electrical power distribution apparatus (100) connectible to one or more loads (119). The electrical power distribution apparatus (100) comprises inter alia one or more taps (112) for supplying the loads (119) with electrical power. On top of circuit breakers (108) to switch off the power supply in order to protect the loads against damage, there is also arranged a second layer of soft fuse switches (110) which are arranged to switch on or off the power supply at the taps (112) to control distribution of the power. The soft fuses (110) operate in dependence on and in response to commands issued from a controller (105) which in turn operates and issues those commands in response to and independence on the voltages and amperages monitored at those taps (112) by way of a monitoring module (111). Switching on/off occurs at amperage and voltages lower than the critical threshold values to which the circuit breakers (108) respond to.

摘要: The invention relates to a power supply unit with an inverter which co-operates with a resonant circuit (L, C) and can be controlled so as to adjust the output power by means of a control unit (6). The power supply unit is characterized notably by the fact that it is formed by a first and a second switching unit (S1, S4; S2, S3) whereby a voltage of a first polarity can be applied to the resonant circuit (L, C) in a first switching state and a voltage of a second polarity can be applied thereto in a second switching state, the switching states being switchable by the control unit (6) in such a manner that in a first mode of operation for low output powers the output power can be adjusted by changing the duration of the switching states at an essentially constant switching frequency fs which is at least a predetermined factor lower than the resonance frequency fres of the resonant circuit, and that in a second mode of operation for high output powers the output power can be adjusted by changing the switching frequency in the range of the resonance frequency.

摘要: A power supply power supply (30) comprising a DC voltage supply, a control unit and a plurality of high voltage channels (33a- 33d) is suggested. Each high voltage channel (33) includes an inverter (IKTV) , a resonance circuit, a transformer (TR) , and a rectifier (RECT) . The resonance circuit cooperates with the inverter (INV) . The inverter (INV) is formed by a first switching unit and a second switching unit whereby a voltage of a first polarity can be applied to the resonance circuit in a first switching state, whereas a voltage of a second polarity can be applied to the resonance circuit in a second switching state. The switching states can be switched by the control unit in such a manner that in a first mode of an operation for high output power, the output power can be adjusted by changing the switching frequency in the range of the resonance frequency. In a second mode of operation for low output power, the output power can be adjusted by changing the duration of the switching state at an essentially constant switching frequency.
