摘要: An apparatus includes an imaging probe and is configured for dynamically arranging presentation of visual feedback (144) for guiding manual adjustment, via the probe, of a location, and orientation, associated with the probe. The arranging is selectively based on comparisons (321) between fields of view of the probe and respective results of segmenting image data acquired via the probe. In an embodiment, the feedback does not include (175) a grayscale depiction of the image data. Coordinate system trans formations corresponding to respective comparisons may be computed. The selecting may be based upon and dynamically responsive to content of imaging being dynamically acquired via the probe.

摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system has a user control by which a user positions the user's selection of a heart chamber border in relation to two machine-drawn heart chamber tracings. The user's border is positioned by a single degree of freedom control which positions the border as a function of a single user-determined value. This overcomes the vagaries of machine-drawn borders and their mixed acceptance by clinicians, who can now create repeatably-drawn borders and exchange the control value for use by others to obtain the same results.

摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging method and system are described for detecting abnormalities in the synchronicity of heart wall stimulation. Points on opposite sides of a chamber of the heart are identified in a starting ultrasound image, then tracked through at least a portion of the heart cycle. The changing positions of lines extending between pairs of the points are accumulated and displayed in a color kinesis display in which each color depicts the location of a line at a particular point in the cardiac cycle. In an illustrated example the points are tracked through the cardiac cycle by speckle tracking of the speckle pattern of the adjacent myocardial tissue, tracking specific anatomy, or tracking tissue texture.

摘要: Based on anatomy recognition from three-dimensionallive imaging of a volume, one or more portions (204, 208) of the volume are selected in real time. In further real time response, live imaging or the portion(s) is performed with a beam density (156) higher than that used in the volume imaging. The one or more portion may be one or more imaging plane selected for optimal orientation in making an anatomical measurement(424) or display. The recognition can be based on an anatomical model,such as a cardiac mesh model. The model may be pre-encoded with information that can be associated with image locations to provide the basis for portion selection,and for placement of indicia (416, 420, 432, 436) displayable for initiating measurement within an image provided by the live portion imaging. A single TEE or TTE imaging probe (112) may be used throughout. On request, periodically or based on detected motion of the probe with respect to the anatomy, the whole process can be re-executed, starting back from volume acquisition(S508).

摘要: An ultrasound system for planning a surgical implantation of an implantable device produces two or three dimensional ultrasound images of the site of the surgical implantation. An image of a sizer for an implantable device comprises a virtual sizer which is scaled to the scale of the anatomy in the ultrasound image. A user manipulates the virtual sizer on the display in relation to the anatomy in the ultrasound image to ascertain whether the virtual sizer, and hence its corresponding implantable device, fits the patient's anatomy. In place of the anatomical ultrasound image a model of the anatomy can be produced from the ultrasound image data and used for sizing. When sizing is done with 3D ultrasound images, the fit of the virtual sizer and the anatomy can be studied by rotating and tilting the two images together. Imprecision in the fit of the virtual sizer and anatomy can be display with highlighting.
