摘要:
Disclosed is anti-alumina-buildup refractories for casting nozzles, which comprises a refractory aggregate including 20 mass% or more of CaO component, and 10 mass % or more of clinker particles each containing CaO as a mineral phase, on the basis of 100 mass % of the entire composition. At least a part of the surfaces of the CaO exposed from the surfaces of the corresponding clinker particles is formed with a CaCO 3 film. The CaCO 3 film releases CO 2 gas through thermal decomposition to smooth an operative surface of the nozzle so as to prevent the accretion of metal thereon, so that CaO is continuously supplied to alumina attached on the operative surface to prevent alumina buildup. In addition, the CaCO 3 film effectively prevents the hydration of CaO due to a hydration reaction.

A method for continuous casting of molten steel for a thin sheet, in which, in the casting of aluminum-killed steel, a CaO.MgO based refractory containing 20 mass % or more of a CaO.MgO based clinker is used at least in a portion contacting with molten steel, wherein 60 % or more of MgO crystals contained in particles of the CaO.MgO based clinker have a particle diameter of 50 mum or less. In the method, MgO crystals in the molten steel have a reduced particle, which results in the reduction in the frequency of the occurrence of a scratch even when they are contained as inclusions in a cast steel and the steel is rolled.

Disclosed is a method of continuous casting of aluminum-killed steel, using a refractory martial containing 20 mass% or more of CaO · MgO-based clinker. 60% or more of MgO grains included in the grains of the CaO · MgO-based clinker have a diameter of 50 µm or less. The refractory martial is used at least at a portion to be in contact with molten steel. The present invention can reduce the diameter of MgO grains as inclusions in slabs to suppress the occurrence of flaws in a milled sheet metal.
摘要:
A nozzle refractory for casting comprising a refractory aggregate which contains 20 mass % or more, relative to the total composition, of a CaO component and 10 mass % or more of a clinker containing CaO as a mineral phase, wherein the coating film of CaCO3 is formed from at least a part of CaO exposed on the surface of particles of the clinker containing CaO as a mineral phase. CaCO3, which forms a film, is decomposed by heat to release a CO2 gas, which makes an operating surface smoother, resulting in no deposition of a metal and thus in the successive supply of CaO to the alumina deposited on the operating surface, which leads to the prevention of the deposition of alumina. The refractory is also effective for preventing the hydration by a hydrolysis reaction.
