    摘要: A method of producing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition comprises feeding water-containing pellets of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer from 0°C to 80°C and an additive to an extruder (X) for melt kneading, wherein the additive includes at least one selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acid, a boron compound, a phosphoric acid compound, an alkali metal salt, and an alkaline earth metal salt, the additive is added to the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer in the extruder (X), a melt in the extruder (X) has a temperature T 0 from 70°C to 180°C and the extruder (X) has a cylinder temperature T 1 from 65°C to 175°C, T 0 and T 1 satisfy an expression (1) below 5 ≤ T 0 -T 1 ≤ 100(1), and the water-containing pellets fed to the extruder (X) has a water content from 20 to 60 mass% and a water-containing resin composition immediately after extrusion from the extruder (X) has a water content from 10 to 35 mass%. The production method allows, in the method comprising melt kneading the water-containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellets and the minor component in the extruder, followed by extrusion, highly efficient dewatering of the water-containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer pellets and also causes the EVOH resin composition thus obtained that has less foam and has a good hue.

    摘要: A resin composition comprises: a modified EVOH (A) that is represented by a following formula (I), has contents (mol%) of a, b, and c based on the total monomer units satisfying following formulae (1) through (3), and has a degree of saponification (DS) defined by a following formula (4) of 90 mol% or more; and inorganic oxide particles (B), wherein a content of the inorganic oxide particles (B) is from 5 to 5000 ppm.     摘要: A method of producing water-containing EVOH pellets comprises: a first step of introducing a water-containing EVOH with a water content W1 from 10 to 90 mass% and at a temperature from 80°C to 130°C into an extruder for melt kneading; and a second step of cutting the water-containing EVOH extruded from the extruder for obtaining water-containing EVOH pellets, wherein the extruder has a back slit and water is discharged from the back slit, the water-containing EVOH is extruded from the extruder at a temperature from 80°C to 120°C, the water-containing EVOH extruded from the extruder has a water content W2 from 5 to 50 mass%, and a ratio (W2/W1) of the water content W2 to the water content W1 is 0.2 or more and less than 1. The production method allows efficient reduction of water in the water-containing EVOH while inhibiting elution of the EVOH and thus allows efficient production of water-containing EVOH pellets, and also provides high drying efficiency and thus allows inhibiting degradation due to heat of dried EVOH pellets to be obtained.
