By the air bubble (8), a decrease in the sound pressure is prevented, peaks and dips in the frequency characteristics of sound pressure are reduced, and high-quality sounds are generated.

To achieve such an object, an acoustic generator (1) according to one embodiment includes a piezoelectric element (exciter) (5), a vibrating portion (3a), and a plurality of dampers (8). The piezoelectric element (5) receives an input of an electrical signal and is caused to vibrate. The piezoelectric element (5) is mounted on the vibrating portion (3a), and the vibrating portion (3a) is caused to vibrate by the vibration of the piezoelectric element (5). The dampers (8) are integrated with the vibrating portion (3a). The dampers (8) are asymmetrically provided with respect to an axis of symmetry of a shape delineated by the outline of the vibrating portion (3a), in a plan view of the vibrating portion (3a) from a side on which the piezoelectric element (5) is mounted.
