The light-emitting device (1) includes a wavelength converter (5) supported on the frame (4) and opposed to the substrate (2) with a gap.

When a light intensity at the first peak wavelength is assumed to be 1, a relative light intensity at the second peak wavelength is greater than or equal to 0.75 and less than or equal to 0.98. A relative light intensity at the third peak wavelength is greater than or equal to 0.55 and less than or equal to 0.95. A relative light intensity at the fourth peak wavelength is greater than or equal to 0.50 and less than or equal to 0.85.
