摘要： Air purification process for removing the carbon monoxide impurities and hydrogen from the air, particularly in order to prepare high purity nitrogen, wherein (i) the air is brought in contact with a catalytic bed comprising particles of at least one metal selected among copper, platinum, palladium, osmium, iridium, ruthenium, rhenium and rhodium, supported by a support which is chemically inert with respect to water, so as to react the hydrogen and carbon monoxide impurities with the oxygen in the air in order to form respectively carbon dioxide and water; (ii) the water and carbon dioxide impurities contained in the air are removed; (iii) optionally, the nitrogen is separated from the air by cryogenic distillation. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such process.
