A mobile terminal includes a display, a first camera configured to perform omnidirectional photographing and a controller configured to convert at least some region of a ringshaped image, captured by the first camera, into a rectangular image and display the rectangular image on the display. In accordance with the present invention, an omnidirectional still or moving image can be captured by an omnidirectional camera embedded in the mobile terminal, and an interface that can be conveniently used by a user can be implemented.
