In particular, the invention relates to highly branched block copolymers comprising an arborescent core with a high glass-transition temperature (Tg) and branches attached to the core terminated in polymer endblock segments with a low Tg. The copolymers of the invention desirably exhibit thermoplastic elastomeric properties and, in one embodiment, are desirably suited to biomedical applications.

More particularly, the invention relates to peroxide cured thermoplastic vulcanizates wherein the elastomer comprises at least 3.5 mol% of multiolefin in order to facilitate peroxide curing. The thermoplastic vulcanizates according to the present invention are useful in the preparation of shaped articles for high purity applications, such as condenser caps, medical components and fuel cell components.
