摘要: An intake and exhaust system of an engine mounted on a vehicle is provided, which includes an exhaust passage, an intake passage disposed above the exhaust passage in up-and-down directions of the vehicle, and an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) passage extending in the up-and-down directions and communicating the exhaust passage to the intake passage, the EGR passage including an EGR cooler, an EGR valve disposed downstream of the EGR cooler in a flow direction of EGR gas, and a connecting passage, disposed between the EGR cooler and the EGR valve, that connects the EGR cooler to the EGR valve in a separated state from each other in the flow direction.

The exhaust passage includes an exhaust gas purifier (32) including an inlet part (321) and an outlet part (322) for the exhaust gas, that is disposed so that the exhaust gas flows horizontally, a branch (323) connected to the outlet part and configured to branch in vehicle up-and-down directions a channel of the exhaust gas after being purified by the exhaust gas purifier, and a guide (324) connected to the branch and configured to guide the exhaust gas below the outlet part (322). The EGR passage (51) is connected to the branch and guides the EGR gas upward.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation system for a multi-cylinder engine is provided, which includes an exhaust manifold connected to a cylinder head, a catalyst connected to a downstream end of the exhaust manifold in terms of an exhaust gas flow, an EGR gas outlet provided downstream of the catalyst, an in-head EGR passage penetrating the cylinder head, and an EGR pipe extending from the EGR gas outlet and directly connected to an inlet of the in-head EGR passage to lead EGR gas thereto. The catalyst is disposed so that the exhaust gas flows therein from a first side to a second side in an engine cylinder lined-up direction. The EGR gas outlet is located on the second side with respect to the center of the engine in the cylinder lined-up direction, and the inlet of the in-head EGR passage is located in the first side with respect to the engine center.

摘要: An intake and exhaust system of an engine is provided, which includes an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) passage configured to recirculate a portion of exhaust gas as EGR gas, from an exhaust passage of the engine to an intake passage, and an EGR cooler disposed in the EGR passage, the EGR cooler being coupled to a passage wall of the exhaust passage at an EGR gas inlet side, and having a center line intersecting with a flow direction of exhaust gas in the exhaust passage. A through-hole communicating the EGR cooler with the exhaust passage is formed into a long hole elongated in the flow direction in the exhaust passage.
